House cleaning in San Diego for condos, apartments and houses

We clean kitchens, bathrooms, dusting and floors in San Diego homes for renters, owners, landlords and property managers. The work covers condos behind a gate, walk-up apartments, detached houses on a side street, and towers downtown. The hard water that spots shower glass and the City's rule about where a mop bucket goes are both part of a cleaning in this city.

A cleaner wipes the quartz island of a bright San Diego condo with a folded blue cloth on a house cleaning visit, a caddy of spray bottles at one end and the sliding door open to a sunny balcony.

What needs cleaning right now

Keys going back to a landlord at the end of the lease

The version done in an empty rental is a move-out cleaning before the keys go back, where every shelf is visible and nothing is in the way. The last clean sits in the kitchen, the bathrooms and inside the cabinets and appliances once the furniture is out and the walls are patched.

Boxes arriving at a new place, after a listing clean

Should a condo staged for showings get another cleaning before the boxes land? The listing clean was shaped for photos and open houses, not for a household unpacking into it. A fresh pass on a new place before the boxes resets counters, cabinet interiors, bathrooms and floors while the rooms are still bare. Drywall dust after a remodel sits in the same family of jobs, and a post-construction cleaning handles that one: fine dust lands on every surface a brush could reach once the trades pack up, inside drawers, along baseboards, on top of door frames.

A shower door that never comes clear

Soap scum and a milky film settle on shower glass under San Diego's very hard water, and a dry towel does not undo them. The pass that goes after the film on glass, tile, chrome and grout a weekly wipe-down never catches is a deep clean for the buildup.

Weeks that keep running out before the cleaning gets done

By Sunday afternoon the laundry is half done, the vet visit took the morning, and a friend is in from the airport. A weekly or every-other-week visit keeps the kitchen, the bathroom and the floors from drifting through weeks like that.

Guests checking in to a short-term rental

Between a guest leaving and the next entry code opening the door, a rental has to look untouched. Turnovers between guests are the standing cleaning a short-term rental lives on, with the kitchen reset, the bath glass wiped and anything the last guest left behind noted for the host.

Renters, apartments and hard water

A small majority of city households rent their place rather than own it. Of San Diego's 530,412 occupied homes, renters occupy about 279,312, around 53 percent. The pages for move-out cleaning and cleaning in a condo or apartment building are for renters, landlords and property managers who use the service around a lease, and for anyone else arranging a one-off visit before a family stay.

Nearly two in five housing units sit in a bigger building: about 38 percent of the city's 568,668 units are in buildings of five or more units. A one-bedroom off an open-air walkway, a condo in a downtown tower and a detached house on a side street get the same job inside the kitchen and the bathroom. What differs is building access: parking, a gate code, stairs or an elevator, a front desk.

Then there is the water. In 2025 the City's three treatment plants averaged total hardness of 237, 242 and 243 parts per million, and the U.S. Geological Survey classes anything above 180 as very hard. Spots on shower glass, chalky chrome around a faucet, and soap scum on tile come with that water, and the guide on hard water spots on glass covers how a cleaning takes them off.

House cleaning services, by the job

Each kind of cleaning has its own page. The grouped links that follow sort them by the shape of the job, with a link to each.

How a call starts the visit

  1. You call (619) 536-1303 and tell us about the place. Rooms, bathrooms, the building, parking, pets, and what matters most on this visit.
  2. We go over how we get in: a gate code, a front desk and a visitor sheet, a key or lockbox, elevator rules, loading zones.
  3. We work the price out with you from there, and the cleaning does not start before you say go.
  4. The cleaning, then a last look together if you are home.

San Diego homes, from bungalows to towers

The median San Diego home was built in 1979, and the housing stock sweeps from North Park's Craftsman bungalows to downtown towers. Detached houses make up about 43 percent of the city's housing units, buildings of five or more units account for another 38 percent, and the rest sits in between. The spread of homes decides a lot about what a visit looks like.

In a North Park Craftsman, the North Park Community Plan says deep eaves and large porches suited San Diego's mild climate. A downtown tower may bring a front desk, a visitor sheet or a service elevator rule into the picture, and the building's access is settled on the call. The pages for cleaning in condos and apartments and a regular maid service cover what shifts between them.

House cleaning in San Diego: your questions

What does a cleaning cost in San Diego, and why no price over the phone?

The price for a visit depends on the home. Rooms and bathrooms sit at the baseline; how long since a thorough clean sits on top of that; pets, the building and whether this is a one-off or the start of a schedule shift the number up or down. The questions on the call sort each one out, which is why no number comes before them. The cost guide spells each piece out.

How does the price get set?

The cost guide walks through what moves the number up or down for a given home.

What does a standard house cleaning include?

Kitchens and bathrooms carry most of the visit: counters, the sink, the stovetop and the fronts of appliances in one, and the shower or tub, the toilet, the vanity and the mirror in the other. High dusting is worked from the floor, so nothing out of reach has to come down. Floors go last. Beds get made if you ask, and nothing personal is sorted or moved into drawers. The guide on what a standard cleaning covers runs the full room-by-room list.

Should the first visit be a deep clean?

Not always. A home kept up where only the surfaces drift between visits is a standard clean. One that has been quiet for months, or one about to start a schedule, usually reads as a deep clean first; a regular visit after it then has somewhere to start.

Do I need to be home, and what about keys, gate codes or a front desk?

How we get through the building and through the door goes on the call: a gate code, a key or a lockbox, a front desk and a visitor sheet, a service elevator with its own rules. We work from whatever arrangement you tell us about the home.

Do you clean condos and apartments as well as houses?

Yes, as much as houses. A one-bedroom off a walkway, a condo in a mid-rise, a detached house with a long driveway. The apartments and condos page covers what changes between a walk-up and a tower.

Can you work around pets?

Yes. On the call we talk about the animal, whether they stay in one room during the visit, and whether anyone in the home reacts to a product the pet needs. Products are sorted on that same call.
