San Diego one-time house cleaning

One time cleaning service in San Diego, with no schedule to sign up for

Family lands on Friday and the guest bath has been a storage room since the spring. A one-time cleaning service in San Diego is a single visit, standard or deep. The reason, the rooms and what the visit will cover are agreed on the call.

What a single cleaning visit can cover

A one-time visit is sorted around a specific weekend. The call picks the rooms, the depth and anything we should leave exactly as it is. Nothing after the day commits you to another visit.

The first question on the call is which kind of visit the home needs. A standard visit fits a place that was deeply cleaned not long ago. A deep clean fits a home that has been coasting for a while, where the kitchen or the bath carries real buildup, or where a buyer, a landlord or new tenants are the reason for the day. We say which fits once you tell us when the home was last fully done.

The rooms that matter most for the occasion

Guests coming through usually see the bath and the kitchen first, so those rooms come first if you ask. A showing cares about every surface in sight from the entry. A dinner party cares about the living room, the entry and the counters where food will land. The rooms that matter for your day get more of the visit, and the rooms you tell us to skip stay closed.

Kitchen, bathrooms, dusting, floors

The usual order of a visit still runs: dust from high to low with the dusting done from the floor, kitchen counters, sink and stovetop, bathrooms top to bottom, bedrooms and living rooms, floors last. On a one-time visit, the rooms your day needs come first inside that order.

Extras agreed on the call

Inside the oven, the glass on the oven door, inside the microwave, the inside of the fridge, baseboards, blinds, window tracks: each extra is agreed on the call. We say what each one covers and you decide what is in and what is out before the day.

A last look together

If you are home when we finish, we walk the rooms with you so you can see each one. If you are out, we leave the place closed up the way you set it up on the call.

Occasion What the visit focuses on What to mention when you call
Guests staying the weekend Guest room, guest bath, kitchen, living room Who is coming and which rooms they will use
A dinner party or get-together Kitchen, living room, entry, guest bath How many people, when the first guest arrives
A showing or open house Every room a buyer sees, kitchen and bath first The agent's walkthrough plan and anything the stager asked for
Catching up after a hard stretch Whole home, kitchen and bath first How long it has been since a thorough visit

A one-time visit also fits a stretch when your usual cleaner is away, a holiday with family in from out of town, or a home that has never had a cleaner at all and wants a trial run before anything standing.

When one visit fits, and when a schedule fits better

When one visit is enough

The reason is a date on the calendar, not a pattern. The place is in fair shape for its age. Nothing after the day needs the home cleaned on a routine. A standard visit, or a single deep clean, will cover most of the work.

When a schedule or another service fits

The need keeps coming back after this one date. A weekly or every-other-week schedule is worth a look, where a maid service visit covers the same room-by-room clean on a routine. The home is empty and keys go back on Friday, in which case an empty home at move-out is the page. The home has been coasting for months and only a top-to-bottom catch-up will reset it, which is a deep clean.

If the call starts as a one-time visit and lands on a different service, we say so on the call. For the choice between a routine pass and a deeper one, see standard or deep.

The signs that a single visit is enough are different from the signs that a routine would serve you better.

One visit, or a schedule instead

What a single cleaning suits, and the signs that a regular rhythm would serve the home better.

A single visit fits

  • Guests, a party or family in from out of town
  • A showing or an open house
  • Catching up after a hard stretch
  • Trying a cleaner before any schedule

A schedule fits

  • The same rooms need it again soon
  • A busy kitchen and a shared bathroom
  • Pets that shed through the week
  • Weekends you would rather keep

What the visit covers

A one-time standard visit covers the rooms you asked for: dusting from the top surfaces down with the dusting done from the floor, the kitchen counters, sink, stovetop and the outside of appliances, the bathrooms (shower or tub, toilet, vanity and mirror), the bedrooms and living areas, and the floors last. Beds get made when you ask. Nothing personal is sorted into drawers.

Products are gone over on the call, your own or ours. If a surface in the home takes something specific, we check with you before using it, and we do not mix cleaning products of any kind.

What a one-time visit does not do: carpet shampooing, outside windows above the ground floor, pressure washing, duct cleaning, hauling, painting or repairs. Those are jobs for other trades. See how a single visit is priced for the drivers that move a quote, and what a standard cleaning includes for the room-by-room list.

From your call to the finished rooms

  1. You call and tell us about the home: when the visit is for, which rooms, how we get in, parking, pets, products and anything to leave alone.
  2. We plan the visit with you, standard or deep, and agree on the extras.
  3. You get a price and decide. Nothing starts until you say yes.
  4. The cleaning happens, and we walk a last look with you if you are home.

One-time cleaning service in San Diego: your questions

Can I get one cleaning without signing up for more?

Yes. A one-time visit stands on its own, with no routine after it. You can call again later for another one-time visit, or move to a schedule when the time is right.

Standard or deep for a single visit?

A deep clean fits a home that has not had a thorough visit in a long while, a kitchen or bath carrying real buildup, or a day driven by a buyer, a landlord or new tenants. A standard visit fits a home kept up on a routine. From what you tell us about the last thorough visit, we say which fits. The guide on the choice between them has the longer piece.

Can you do only the kitchen and bathroom?

Yes. A one-time visit can cover any subset of the home you ask for. One option is the kitchen, the bathrooms and the floors, with the bedrooms closed off. The subset is set from what you tell us on the call.

How is a one-time visit priced?

Rooms, bathrooms, how long since the last thorough clean, pets, parking and whether the visit is standard or deep all shift the price. The cost guide walks through the drivers.

Can I add a schedule later?

Yes. A one-time visit is a reasonable trial run. If the home looked the way you wanted after it, we can talk about a weekly, every-other-week or monthly visit. The schedule is a separate decision you make later.

Do I need to be home?

Some visits are set so you are there at the start and leave before the cleaning. Some are set so a key, a lockbox, a gate code or a front desk lets us in with no one home. The handoff is agreed on the call.
